Acceptable Use Policy
Rules and guidelines for using the Fund My Squad platform.

1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the permissible use of the Fund My Squad website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Fund My Squad processes payments through Stripe. All users must also comply with Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list.
2. Permitted Use
Fund My Squad is designed to help youth sports teams, clubs, schools, and community organizations raise funds for legitimate activities including but not limited to:
- Equipment, uniforms, and gear
- Travel and tournament expenses
- Facility rentals and field maintenance
- League registration and membership fees
- Coaching and training programs
- Community events and celebrations
- Scholarships and financial assistance for participants
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Platform to:
3.1 Fraudulent or Deceptive Conduct
- Create fraudulent fundraisers or misrepresent the purpose of a campaign
- Provide false or misleading information about yourself, your organization, or how funds will be used
- Impersonate another person, team, or organization
- Use the Platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes
- Create fake donations or manipulate campaign metrics
3.2 Illegal or Harmful Activities
- Raise funds for any illegal activity or purpose
- Promote violence, hatred, discrimination, or harassment
- Distribute or link to malware, viruses, or other harmful software
- Engage in activities that exploit or endanger minors
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
3.3 Prohibited Business Categories
In accordance with our payment processor's requirements, the Platform may not be used to raise funds for activities or businesses on Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list, including but not limited to:
- Gambling, lotteries, or games of chance (excluding legally compliant raffles disclosed to and approved by Fund My Squad)
- Adult content or services
- Controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, or tobacco products
- Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
- Multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes
- Counterfeit or unauthorized goods
- Cryptocurrency or virtual currency sales
- Securities, investment products, or financial advisory services
- Political campaigns or political action committees
- Personal fundraising unrelated to youth sports, education, or community organizations
3.4 Platform Abuse
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or other users' experience
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data without permission
- Send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content through the Platform
- Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access controls
- Use the Platform to collect personal information of other users without consent
4. Content Standards
All content posted on the Platform, including fundraiser descriptions, images, videos, and messages, must:
- Be truthful and not misleading
- Not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Not contain obscene, defamatory, or offensive material
- Not include personal information of minors without parental or guardian consent
- Comply with all applicable advertising and disclosure requirements
5. Fund Usage and Accountability
- Funds raised through the Platform must be used for the stated purpose of the campaign
- Organizers are responsible for providing accurate information about how funds will be allocated
- Fund My Squad reserves the right to request documentation verifying how funds were used
- Donors should be kept informed of campaign progress and fund allocation
6. Reporting Violations
If you believe a fundraiser or user is violating this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it by contacting us at support@fundmysquad.com. We review all reports promptly and take appropriate action.
7. Enforcement
Fund My Squad reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this AUP, including but not limited to:
- Issuing warnings
- Suspending or removing fundraisers
- Suspending or terminating user accounts
- Withholding or refunding funds
- Reporting activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
We may take these actions at our sole discretion, with or without notice, depending on the severity of the violation.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
