Tips to Fund My Squad and the Fair Tip Pledge

How the suggested tip is calculated:

- The suggested tip is never more than 10%, and it goes down as gifts go up: 10% under $50, 8% from $50 to $199.99, 5% at $200 and above

- It is capped at $25, no matter the gift size

- Every option shows the dollar amount next to the percentage

- Tickets, door sales and Tap to Pay never pre-select a tip

- Example: a $25 gift suggests $2.50, a $100 gift suggests $8, a $500 gift suggests $25

How to choose no tip:

- "No tip" is always a visible button on the tip step — it is never hidden behind "Other" or a custom field

- Tap it and your total is just your gift (plus the flat $1 per ticket and card processing on ticket orders)

- Nothing about the gift to the team changes

How to get a tip refunded:

1. Open your receipt email or the confirmation page you saw after checkout

2. Tap "Refund my tip" next to the tip line

3. Done — the tip returns to your card in 5–10 business days

Any tip is refundable with one click for 30 days. The team still receives every dollar of your gift; Fund My Squad absorbs the cost.

For organizers: tips never come out of your payout, and they appear as their own line on the supporter's receipt — never blended into fees or the gift. We publish our participation rate, average tip, and refund rate daily at fundmysquad.com/tip-pledge.
