When you receive your funds
Money supporters give is held in your connected Stripe account while your fundraiser runs, then released to your bank.
- **Fundraisers with an end date** — released about 5 days after the end date
- **Ongoing fundraisers** — released on a rolling basis about every 30 days, so a long campaign is paid throughout rather than only at the end
- **After release** — funds usually reach your bank in 1–2 business days
The short wait protects both you and your donors: card payments can be disputed after the fact, and the hold means there are funds available to cover one.
Verified nonprofits can qualify for more frequent releases. Verification is based on your IRS status and your history on the platform — there is nothing to buy.
Reserves — we may hold back part of a release for a period before paying it out. This does not reduce what you are owed, it just pays part of it later, so money is available if a donation is disputed or refunded. Whether it applies depends on things like your verification status, fundraising history, and refund activity.
Extra verification — occasionally we need to confirm who is behind a payout account before releasing funds. If that happens we will tell you exactly what we need, and releases resume once it is done.
